Pre-Master's programme
If you do not meet all the selection requirements for the master's track, you might qualify for a pre-Master's programme.
If you would like to know whether a pre-Master's programme is an option for you, please apply for the master's track of your choice. Be sure to apply early so you can find out quickly about your next steps. The sooner you apply, the sooner you will find out whether you still need to complete any courses.
Applications can be submitted from 1 October to 1 November. Make sure to fill out Studielink and MyInfo before the application deadline. Please note: if you do not meet all the requirements, you will be informed before Christmas – thereby providing the opportunity to take and finish a pre-Master’s during the second semester to qualify for the September admissions round (provided that the missed courses will be given in the second semester)

Selection procedure
Based on the documents you submitted, it will be determined whether you will be invited for the Multiple Mini Interviews. These interviews focus on: reflective capacity, receiving feedback, sensitivity, solidity, making contact and transparency. You will have a short personal interview with several teachers, in which each interview asks about a different criterion. It goes without saying that the interviews are confidential.
The Multiple Mini Interviews for the master track take place on 3 and 11 March 2022. You can indicate a preference for a date when registering, but the number of places is limited.
The interviews will be held online.
If you have applied, you will be informed in mid-May whether you have been placed or not. Not being selected does not mean you are unsuitable to participate: there are only a limited number of places. You may therefore apply again.
Conditions
By applying for the Training & Development master's track, you agree to the following conditions:
- As a reference you will send the feedback letter from your trainer from the last session of PTPC (provided that you have followed that course).
- No further explanation will be given of the reason for any rejection. Because the selection is limited by the number of places, it gives no indication of your potential as a trainer.
- The trainer training is heavy and intensive. There is an obligation to be present. Individual and collective preparation takes up a lot of time. You are unreservedly available for the planned periods.
- You are prepared to reflect on your personal functioning. Self-disclosure, reflection, giving and receiving feedback are indispensable tools in every training programme and certainly in the trainer training programme.
- Placement in the Training & Development master track means you adhere to the NIP professional ethics for psychologists.
Information for HBO students
An undergraduate degree programme with an applied emphasis (Dutch: hbo-bachelor) is not equivalent to an academic Bachelor’s degree, and therefore gives no access to the Psychology Master’s nor to the pre-Master’s programmes.
