After your studies you will have a wide range of opportunities for your future career. You can work as a researcher, analyst or policy advisor with a unique collection of knowledge and skills. You will be able to bridge the gap between data analysts and policy, using your technical expertise to connect with specialist IT professionals and use their social knowledge to collaborate with other professionals such as policymakers and implementers.
This programme will train the next generation of behavioural experts to guide policy decision making. They will be unique in that they can combine deep understanding of complexity science and modelling with a savvy insight into how to effectively steer relevant data into the policy processes. Examples of possible careers
  • Researcher

    With your knowledge of a variety of disciplines and experience of working in interdisciplinary teams you can continue in academia as a researcher or at an applied research institute such as TNO, contributing to tackling urgent societal issues.  

  • Policy advisor

    There is a strong need for policy advisors who have the skills and knowledge to translate technical outcomes of modelling and data analysis into policy proposals and interventions. You can imagine going to work at a local or national government or an advisory agency  

  • Data analyst

    You can apply your modelling skills as a data analyst who knows how to model complex societal issues and come up with innovative solutions or interventions. You can imagine going to work at a think tank, statistics bureau or government as a data analyst.
