Are you interested in studying at one of the largest Science hubs in Europe? Then read on and find out how you can apply for one of our exchange programmes.
Researchers and students at the Faculty of Science are fascinated by every aspect of how the world works, be it elementary particles, the birth of the universe or the functioning of the brain. With education and research in mathematics, physics, chemistry, astronomy, biology, logic and computer science, we are fully immersed in the entire spectrum of the sciences.
The Faculty of Science is located at Amsterdam Science Park which has one of the largest concentrations of academic education and research facilities in Europe. It is a major hub for research, innovation and entrepreneurship thanks to its world-class research institutes, universities, and some 170 companies. Amsterdam Science Park offers unique opportunities for data technology, fundamental and applied research, the use of advanced equipment, and companies with a focus on sustainability and digital innovation.
The Faculty of Science offers a variety of courses for both bachelor and master students. Although most of the Bachelor's (undergraduate) courses at the Faculty of Science are taught in Dutch, a number of courses are also taught in English. All Master's (graduate) courses are taught in English.
Students with an EU nationality who wish to take part in an internship or research project at the Faculty of Science are always welcome to apply. However, students are responsible for finding and arranging an internship/research project themselves. The best way to do so is by perusing the websites of the Faculty of Science research institutes. Once a suitable position has been found, interested students should contact the leader of the research group to find out if placement is possible.
