The Religious Studies research group is titled Religious Dynamics and Cultural Diversity, which exemplifies the group’s main focus. Research is geared towards historical and contemporary religious practice in Europe, which has been characterised by change and transformation throughout the ages.
The emphasis is on the diversity of European religions. Special attention is paid to the discursive transmission and exchange of ideas within and between Jewish, Christian and Islamic communities.
The research group has a multidisciplinary character and transcends traditional disciplinary and geographical boundaries. Seminars, meetings and workshops are regularly organised.
