During UvA Matching you will take part in the study programme of the Bachelor’s in Communication Science. This includes attending lectures and reviewing course materials. You will finish UvA Matching with a test. You will then receive personal advice on the basis of your test results. This will help you determine whether this study programme is a good fit for you and whether you have the motivation and study skills to start the programme in September.
Prospective students who have applied for a Bachelor’s programme at the UvA for the first time and who have completed their prior education at a Dutch educational institution. This includes prospective students applying with a hbo propedeuse (first-year diploma from a Dutch University of Applied Sciences). You can find more general information on the UvA Matching here.
After enrolling for the Bachelor’s programme in Communication Science in Studielink, you will need to register for UvA Matching through your personal Enrolment Checklist. Make sure to pay close attention to the registration deadline.
The programme consists of lectures, studying literature, completing assignments and examination. The UvA Matching takes several days (approximately 28 hours in total). After you have completed all the study activities, you will receive a personal study advice. Now you determine whether the Bachelor of Communication Science suits you, and whether you have the right motivation to start in September.

Once you have registered for UvA Matching you will receive an email (three weeks prior to UvA Matching at the latest) with more information about the programme, how to best prepare yourself and the literature.
Make sure to bring a valid proof of identity (passport or a Dutch identity card) to the teaching day.
