Study costs

In addition to your tuition fees, you will need to include a number of other study costs in your budget, such as books, stationary, excursions, a laptop or other equipment up to an amount of max. €642,-.

Columbia Law School

You are not required to pay tuition fees at Columbia Law School, but you will have to pay Columbia Law School for additional services (health service fee, mandatory CLS student health insurance, international student fee, student activity fee, university facilities fee, transcript fee, ISSO visa process initiation fee) amounting to approximately 4900 USD.

Students should also be aware of other expenses that are not covered by the Amsterdam Law School tuition fee or the additional services fee of Columbia Law School, such as travel costs to New York and expenses related to visa and housing.

Living costs

Keep in mind that living in Amsterdam also includes costs such as accommodation, food and public transport.

Scholarships

The Amsterdam Law School aims to attract talented students to its international classrooms. It offers several scholarship programmes designed to offer motivated students the opportunity to pursue an LLM degree at the University of Amsterdam.
