I am conducting research about the impact of digital media use on well-being of adolescents. This research project will involve qualitative (focus groups) and quantitative (EMA, cognitive experiment) studies with adolescents. Within the project, it will be investigated how digital media use impacts well-being via identity processes in adolescence, as well as how ADHD-diagnosed adolescents experience the (negative) effects of digital media use. 

Additionally, I am involved in different teaching activities (e.g., tutorial instruction, thesis supervision) at Bachelor's and Master's programmes within the faculty.

Qualitative investigation of adolescents’ experiences of digital media use: a focus groups study which investigates adolescents’ perceptions and relationships to digital media. 

Longitudinal associations of various mental health domains and problematic digital media use in adolescents: a quantitative study using extensive panel data.

Underlying mechanisms of the assocation between ADHD symptoms and problematic digital media use in youth: a lab study into the effects of inhibition, reward sensitivity, and temporal processing. 

Problematic pornography use and social media in youth: an investigation of the relationship between problematic pornography use and various social media platforms.
