What does obtaining a doctorate involve?

As a doctoral candidate, you will conduct scientific research under the guidance of experienced researchers. You will present the results of your research in a dissertation, which you defend publicly before a doctoral committee. Additionally, as a doctoral candidate, you may have teaching responsibilities. A full-time doctoral trajectory typically lasts up to four years, but you can also pursue a doctorate part-time.
