Can I apply for more than one scholarship at the Amsterdam Law School/University of Amsterdam?
You may apply for more than one scholarship, but only one scholarship can be granted per student. If you wish to apply for both the Mr Julia Henriëtte Jaarsma-Adolfs Fund Scholarship and the Amsterdam Merit Scholarship, you will be able to indicate this in the scholarship application form.

Do I need separate motivation letters and recommendation letters for each scholarship?
If you apply for more than one scholarship, your letters of motivation need to be tailored for each scholarship. You can use the same recommendation letters for both scholarship applications.

When can I expect to hear a decision on my scholarship application?
The recipient of the Amsterdam Merit Scholarship will be announced at the end of March. The recipient of the Mr Julia Henriëtte Jaarsma-Adolfs Fund Scholarship will be announced at the start of May.

What should I do if my transcript of grades does not include a class ranking?
If you have applied for the Julia Henriëtte Jaarsma-Adolfs Fund Scholarship and your transcript does not include a class ranking, a statement from the dean of your faculty indicating that you graduated in the top 10% of your class will suffice.

What if my university does not keep a record of class ranking?
In that case, you will need to submit a statement by the dean or examinations board confirming that your university does not keep a record of class ranking.
