The world around us is changing at lightning speed, placing significant demands on us as individuals. Some find inspiration in the abundance of intensity and stimuli, while others shut down. How does this process work? How does our brain respond to all these impulses and changes? Several fascinating speakers will explore how the human brain reacts to crises, societal changes, and other novelties.

11:00 AM - 1:00 PM: City walk with Marcel van Engelen
Begin the day with a unique city walk through Amsterdam, led by Marcel van Engelen, author of De Stad – het verhaal van Amsterdam van 1980 tot vandaag. Marcel outlines the city’s impressive transformation and guides you past iconic locations. (Note: Unfortunately, this activity is already fully booked.)

1:15 PM - 2:30 PM: General assembly
Together, we will look back on the past year, look ahead to 2025, and present the 2025 budget.

2:30 PM - 5:00 PM: Alumni Talk – Our Creative Brain in a World of Change
How do societal changes and innovations influence our brain and our lives? What makes us creative, and how do we handle the many stimuli of our times?

A panel of experts will discuss:

• Roderick Reichenbach, neuro psychologist, on how different brain types deal with change.
• Mark Woerde, creative entrepreneur and author of Creative Under Fire: A Survival Guide for Creative People on Staying Sane While Solving the World’s Insane Problems.
• Barbara van Veen, futurist and researcher at TU Delft, on how decision-makers anticipate innovation and change.

5:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Closing with drinks
We’ll conclude the day with drinks and informal conversations.
