Online knowledge sharing session assessment
This is an online session and is conducted in Dutch.
In programmatic assessment, a decision about the student is not made after each test, but only after many different tests; called data points. It is important that the student receives feedback at each data point that helps in the learning process. Programmatic assessment a holistic way of assessment, using a multitude of data points from a variety of feedback providers over a long period of time to get a good view of the student's development. The aim is therefore to optimise both the decision function and the learning function of testing.
Within Higher Education, more and more programmes are using the principles of programmatic assessment; either in the entire curriculum or in parts of it. At the UvA, programme-based testing has been introduced in the Master of Medicine, among others. Chantal Albicher is programme coordinator for programmatic assessment at this master's degree programme.
During this online knowledge-sharing session, Chantal will provide an introduction to the principles of programme-based testing. She will explain how these are designed within the Master of Medicine and what the most recent experiences and developments are. There will then be an opportunity for participants to exchange their own experiences and ideas. The session focuses on informal conversation and discussions at the interfaculty level. Your input is therefore highly appreciated!
Would you like to know more about programmatic assessment and what the experiences of colleagues at the master programma of Medicine? Would you like to discuss with colleagues about didactic pros and cons? Do you want inspiration for assessment within your own programme? Please join this online knowledge-sharing session!
