The systematic problematisation of Muslims in current-day Europe takes the form of a 'Muslim Question', in which gender and sexuality play a central role. As Sarah Bracke argues in her inaugural lecture, to critically assess this question we need to zoom out from the narrow focus on Muslims and take in who is asking the question and the way it is framed.
