More information about this track-specific requirement
Students should have a good understanding (advanced level) of the following topics: Observational versus experimental studies, (quasi-)experimental designs, randomization, sampling, confounding, bias, test construction, measurement error, test reliability, and test validity.
Student should be able to explain what type of conclusions can be drawn from different types of study designs (and what not), and should be able to analyse the quality (i.e., reliability and validity) of a psychological measurement instrument.
All skills and knowledge mentioned above should be at level 3: comparable to UvA Bachelor year 3, advanced, more specialised courses. Also, the courses used to fulfill the basic requirements for Methods and Statistics cannot be used for this track-specific requirement again. In sum: You should have obtained at least 24 EC to fulfill the basic requirements, and above that you must have obtained at least 6 EC to fulfill this track-specific requirement.

- UvA Bachelor in Psychology with specialisation Psychological Methods
- The “UvA Kwalificatieprogramma” within the bachelor of Applied Psychology at Hogeschool van Amsterdam with specialisation Psychological Methods
- UvA Bachelor Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with a minor in Behavioural data science
- UvA Bachelor Bèta-Gamma with a major in Psychological Methods
