The enormous growth of digital data becoming available has led to a complete overhaul of the way decisions are made in our personal lives, in businesses, governance, healthcare, science, and education. ​​Data science offers the tools to translate​ scientific, business, or societal questions to data-driven models, ​hunt down and ​understand the value of data sources, ​​discovering ​​patterns in ​the data, and ​communicate findings ​​to ​decision-makers.​

​Working with these enormous amounts of data, on projects from different disciplines, and building algorithms to discover the hidden gems that can improve human life, is rather inspiring.
