At the beginning of the first year all students must enrol in the compulsory course Molecular Biology of the Cell. Further elective and compulsory coursework and research training largely depends on the individual preferences and the choice of your specialisation.
The entry requirements and the application procedure for this Master’s programme depend on whether you have completed your prior education in the Netherlands or abroad.
For this Master’s programme we don’t offer a pre-Master’s programme.

All tracks of the Master's programme Biomedical Sciences are offered as a full-time programme. Due to the nature of the study programme, it isn’t possible to study in part-time.
The application process and the deadline depend on whether you have completed your prior education in the Netherlands or abroad. We strongly recommend to start the application procedure at least a week before the deadline. Getting all your documents ready and going through the process will take several days.
Students with (or who are in the process of getting) a Dutch BSc degree can contact the programme manager for questions about the application procedure.
Note: No pre-registration advice can be provided. Unfortunately, due to the large number of applications, it is not possible to give any individual pre-registration advice by e-mail, to meet to discuss prior education and/or a possible admission in the upcoming academic year. For information about your (possible) eligibility to the Master's programme it is necessary that you apply for the programme and submit your complete files and motivation.
International degree students with questions about the application procedure can contact the International Team using this web form.
All other questions (from both Dutch and international degree students) can be sent using the following contact form:
