As a graduate of the programme, you will have developed the theoretical expertise and obtained the preliminary work experience necessary for a curatorial or research career at museums of art, ethnography, design and history, galleries and exhibition spaces or any other cultural institution which focuses on research and presentation of objects and cultures.

Laying a solid foundation for doing research, the programme also prepares for the PhD positions that are necessary to qualify for a further academic career. It is also suited for those who envision an independent career as freelance curator, researcher, journalist, writer or cultural entrepreneur.
Graduates interested in pursuing an academic career have gone on to do research internships or to pursue a PhD. If you are interested in pursuing an academic career, you can explore the possibility of a corresponding two-year Research Master's with the programme coordinator.
