I am an assistant professor in work and organizational psychology. My current research focuses on workplace mistreatment (e.g., ostracism), harmful employee behaviors (e.g., unethical conduct), and social biases (e.g., prejudice against marginalized communities). I draw on various social psychological and organizational frameworks to explore (primarily negative) interpersonal dynamics across different contexts.
I completed my doctoral studies in the Social Psychology Department at Tilburg University, where I stuided social exclusion for my dissertation work. Specifically, I investigated whether, why, and how people talk about their experiences of social exclusion with others. Prior to my PhD, I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology from Middle East Technical University (Turkey) and my master's degree in psychological sciences from Bogazici University (Turkey).
