Maureen Fubara is a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Amsterdam. She is affiliated with the ERC-sponsored Elections, Violence, and Parties (EVaP) project. She holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from Covenant University, Nigeria, and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies and Diplomacy from Benson Idahosa University, Nigeria. Her research interests focus on political violence at the intersection of comparative politics and international relations. Her PhD dissertation examines election violence in Nigeria. The dissertation analyzes the subnational variation in the actors, repertoires, and scale of electoral violence across states in Nigeria. Maureen's teaching experience includes Bachelor's courses such as Research Project 1, and Introduction to Political Science Research.
