I am an assistant professor at the Department of Theoretical and Computational Ecology at the University of Amsterdam.
My research focuses on eco-evolutionary dynamics and intraspecific variation, a key player in community ecology and species interactions. Understanding the causes and consequences of intraspecific variation is essential for predicting how species and ecosystems respond to environmental change, including responses to anthropogenic drivers such as global warming. My research covers topics such as the evolution of metamorphosis, sexual conflict, speciation, and risk spreading in unpredictable environments. With my recently awarded VENI grant, my current focus is on understanding the eco-evolutionary dynamics of sexual size dimorphism.
