My teaching is mainly related to meteorology, climatology and climate change. At the undergraduate level (bachelor) I teach the courses "Klimaatverandering en Zeespiegelstijging" (Climate Change and Sea Level Rise) and "Analyse IPCC Rapport" (Analysis of the IPCC Report". At the graduate level (master) I teach the course "Climate Change". Moreover, I contribute to many other courses which have a climate change component, both at graduate and undergraduate level. Also I supervise students doing their "Bachelor Project", "Master Thesis Research" or "Literature Review".
In the past I have done research on boundary layer meteorology, the air flow over coastal dunes, aeolian sediment transport and dune restoration. Nowadays my research is focussed on climatology, climate change, paleoecology and paleoclimates.
