  • Profile

Hi! My name is Jose ("ho-SE"), and I am an Assistant Professor of Strategy at Amsterdam Business School.

I am a physicist and engineer by training and a social scientist by trade.

My research studies the links between strategic decision making and organization design.

I explore the relationship between diversity and artificial intelligence systems in the design of resilient and sustainable organizations.

Specifically, I study why goals are useful but not important for organizations.

I use computational models coupled with behavioral experiments to shine light on the limitations of thinking that goals matter in themselves.
