Is Language and Society right for you?

  1. Basic demonstrable academic knowledge in the field of (theoretical) linguistics and sociology. A substantial amount of credits/academic knowledge related to the field is a prerequisite for admission. 
  2. Good research skills at Bachelor’s level. You are able to conduct research independently (such as collecting material, applying theory and writing a thesis).
  3. Desire to contribute proactively and critically to the academic and interdisciplinary environment within the Graduate School of Humanities, as demonstrated in a convincing motivation letter. 

Degree certificate

Language and Society is an accredited degree programme of Linguistics. After successful completion of this programme, you will receive a legally accredited Master’s degree in Linguistics and the title Master of Arts (MA). 

The Master's in Language and Society does not give you access to a post-Master teacher training programme.
