After these interesting lectures it was time to go back to the centre of Geneva and see a bit more of this beautiful city. And what better way to do this then with an exciting scavenger hunt! By following clues, taking crazy pictures and trading items we explored the city with in our minds the grand prize, chocolate! Finishing this sunny day with a cold drink and an amazing view over the lake of Geneva. In the evening we had a super tasty dinner at a small Indian restaurant, completely booked just for us! After this long, but fun day it was time to crawl back to our hostel and fall asleep well satisfied.
The next day we woke up after our first night of bunking with our (new) class mates and, as sleepy as we were, grabbed some breakfast at our hostel. After we all had something to eat we left the hostel and travelled to the University of Lausanne. Here we met the students and teachers from the Ecole des sciences criminelles, the forensic science class of Lausanne. Together with the study association AESC of the study they prepared an interesting day for us where we got to know their vision on forensics, the history and future research. All and all a fun day, ending with, like always, a cold beer!
The Saturday everybody had a day off to explore the city on their own. Hiking, visiting the botanic gardens, playing games, climbing mountains and relaxing was the way to go for the forensic students and staff. At the end of this day it was time to prepare for a long bus ride back home. Thanks to out student union Verum and the excursion committee we all had a great time and are looking forward to outdo this trip next year.
