The study programme of the two-year Master’s track Green Life Sciences gives you the opportunity to combine fundamental and applied training in molecular biology, chemical ecology, ecogenomics, biotechnology, plant breeding, phytopathology, pest control, cell and population biology. This enables you to develop an integrated view of the functioning of plants and to gain skills required for modern research. Practical training forms the core (75%) of the Green Life Sciences programme.

The entry requirements and the application procedure for this Master’s track depend on whether you have completed your prior education in the Netherlands or abroad.

Up to, but no more than, 110 students are admitted to the Master’s programme as a whole. If more than the maximum number of candidates are found suitable, candidates will be selected on (in random order):

• Study programme
• GPA score
• Study progress Bachelor’s programme
• Subject of Bachelor’s thesis
• Motivation 

All tracks of the Master's programme Biological Sciences are offered as a full-time programme. Due to the nature of the study programme, it isn’t possible to study in part-time.

The application process and the deadline depend on whether you have completed your prior education in the Netherlands or abroad.  We strongly recommend to start the application procedure at least a week before the deadline. Getting all your documents ready and going through the process will take several days.
