Make sure you have completed your registration in Studielink.
Note that the Student Desk Psychology cannot speed up the process of sending you the link to the application form. Please make sure you register on time. We recommend you start your application at least a couple of days before the deadline, in order to avoid complications or delay.
We have updated the entry requirements for 2025-2026. As of October 2024, these are available on the website.
All information about accepted diploma’s and grades can be found in the diploma calculator. If no specific grades are mentioned, you do not need to obtain specific grades to meet the entry requirements. You then only have to pass your exams to be eligible for admission.
Whether or not you meet the requirements is something we can check after having received your application. We do not do pre-checks of your curriculum to see whether you are eligible.
It is initially up to your judgement to see if you meet the requirements for the Bachelor’s programme in Psychology. We know this may be difficult being a student from another country. However, we can only evaluate your file once we have received your entire application.
Check the diploma calculator.
If you have a deficiency in mathematics, you are able to take an additional exam to make up the deficiency. An example of such an exam is the mathematics A exam of the James Boswell Institute or the Online Mathematics Placement Test OMPT-A. The required score is 70%. We do not accept SAT-scores.
In order to be eligible, you have to meet the academic requirements as listed on the entry requirements page. Work experience can be an addition to, but no substitute, for the academic requirements.
We don’t have special entry requirements for mature students. Every student needs to meet the requirements to be able to participate in the selection procedure.
Students with an unfinished Bachelor's degree in Psychology from another Dutch university can submit a transfer request to see at what point in the programme they can be admitted to the UvA. In any case the first (propaedeutic) year has to have been completed to request a transfer. For more details please click on the link below.
You will receive a confirmation via e-mail when we received your application. You can check your status yourself via SIS.
It is correct that the deadline is 15 January 2025, but we would like to encourage you to submit your documents as soon as possible (within 14 days after applying in Studielink), therefore you have received a recommended deadline.
