Chuk Yan (Edwina) Wong's research focuses on how contexts and organizational structures shape experiences of marginalization and exclusion. Her research is generally based on what organizations and institutions do regarding their Justice, Eq(ual)ity, Diversity, and Inclusion efforts (JEDI), and how they are received by the people who should be benefiting from these efforts. In that vein, Wong received her bachelor's and master's degrees in Work and Organizational Psychology from the University of Groningen. Wong's Ph.D. based also at the University of Groningen focused on how popular gender diversity interventions operate as a form of White feminism in corporate environments, and how these interventions do not fully benefit women outside of White feminist molds, particularly racially marginalized women and women from the Global South. In that vein, Wong's research tries to use an intersectional praxis in researching and advising what an intersectional praxis can look like for organizational JEDI interventions.
