    Martje Wijers is Assistant Professor in Scandinavian studies at the University of Amsterdam. She holds a PhD in Swedish linguistics from Ghent University and her current research focuses on computational literary studies and stylometry, combining linguistics, literary studies and translation studies. She is also a certified teacher of Dutch as a second language. 

    Martje teaches Swedish literature, Teaching pedagogy for Dutch as a second language (MA), Variation and change in Scandinavian languages (MA), De Wereld van de Mens, Creative Writing, introduction to Scandinavian linguistics, Translation Swedish-Dutch, How literature shapes society (MA)  and The world in parts  (introduction to humanities) and she co-teaches Computational Literary studies together with Karina van Dalen-Oskam. She also supervises BA and MA students during their theses.
