Amber van der Wal is assistant professor on “The Human Factor in New Technologies” and the Research Manager of the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR). In addition, Amber teaches in the Master and PhD program.
Her research focuses on the role of technology and media entertainment in the lives of children and adolescents. As a member of project AWeSome, Amber currently studies the relationship between adolescents' social media use and well-being, with a particular focus on the role of humor in this relationship.
