My research passion lies in uncovering ways to encourage healthy lifestyle choices. My PhD research revolved around the design and evaluation of a mobile application for the Supreme Nudge project. Utilizing the JITAI (Just-In-Time Adaptive Intervention) framework, this app, uniquely tailored to the individual, offers real-time feedback and advice on physical activity. Its innovative coaching system sends user-specific tips during pivotal decision-making moments throughout the day, such as suggesting a detour through a nearby park to reach daily step goals.
As a postdoctoral researcher, I have pivoted to a project centered on pandemic preparedness. The goal is to enhance compliance with preventive measures against viruses, such as SARS-CoV-2. By employing both online and field experiments, we investigate the effectiveness of communication strategies that promote preventive behaviors.
