Sabah Mofidi is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Political Science at the University of Amsterdam. He is affiliated with AISSR, the program group Challenges to Democratic Representation. After gaining his MA at Allameh Tabatabai University of Tehran and PhD at Osmania University, India, he taught and researched at Payam Noor University of Iran (PNU), Applied and Scientific University of Iran (ASU), Iraqi-Kurdistan Conflict and Crisis Research Center (KCCRC), the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study (NIAS) and the University of Amsterdam (UvA).
In his research, Sabah Mofidi focuses on:
• 2021 Research funding by the Gerda Henkel Foundation for the research project “Studying Changes in Political Identity of Kurdish Immigrants in Western Europe”
• 2019 Fellowship by the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study (NIAS) for the research project “the Political Function of religion in Nationalistic Confrontations”
