My research explores the tension between motivation and resource conservation, focusing on how physical and mental energy are managed in work and social contexts. I am interested in proactive forms of energy management as well as novel trends reflecting the younger workforce's evolving priorities, such as work-life balance, flexible and alternative job opportunities, and novel self-care strategies. These behaviors, while often positive, can sometimes be counterproductive and misunderstood. I also investigate intergenerational and gendered biases, aiming to foster allyship and collective action needed to address broader societal challenges such as social inequality, economic sustainability, and climate change.
