Loes de Jong works as an assistant professor at the University of Amsterdam. She combines research at the Research Institute of Child Development and Education (RICDE) with teacher training at the Interfacultary Teacher Training Programmes (ILO). Her research interests are teacher professional learning and collaboration, professional learning communities (PLCs), and organizational learning. Currently she is involved in research on the sustainable development of PLCs in secondary education, teacher design teams on language-oriented content teaching in secondary education, and professional development and tensions of higher education teachers.
