Assistant Professor
I'm interested in how employees stay happy and healthy at work, particularly when faced with change, including the introduction of flexible working practices (Het Nieuwe Werken).
In studying this I focus on psychological resources (e.g. self-efficacy, meaning-making), job-related resources (support, leadership, team climate) and proactive behaviors (e.g. job crafting, self-leadership). The aim being to understand how these factors may help to optimize motivation, (adaptive) performance and well-being.
I'm also interested in the role of organizational identification and psychological ownership in this process.
Key words: work engagement, performance, well-being, job crafting, meaning-making, adaptation to change
