PhD project
My PhD project reconsiders the construct of foreign language aptitude (FLA) from a dynamic perspective. In my research I take a holistic view of aptitude, considering not only cognitive abilities, but also affective and conative individual differences that influence language learning. This project is inspired by Richard Snow's work on aptitude complexes as well as recent developments in complex systems theory and network psychometrics.
