Agustin Ferrari Braun is a PhD cadidate at the University of Amsterdam, working in the NWO-funded project Public Values in the Algorithmic Society. His doctoral research explores the relationship news media outlets, platforms, data intermediaries, and tech providers, focusing on how they impact the realisation of public values (e.g. press freedom, journalistic autonomy, widespread access to trustworthy information…). . More broadly, his interests include media theory, the political economy of digital media and financial media. Prior to his PhD, Agustin obtained a B.A. in Political Science and Social Anthropology from the University of Cambridge, and a r.M.A. in Media Studies from the University of Amsterdam.
