Nadica Denić is a PhD Candidate (2020-2024) at Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis (ASCA), as part of the department of Media Studies at University of Amsterdam. Her NWO-funded PhD research, titled “Cinematic Ethics of Migration: Auto-ethnographic Migrant Perspectives in Contemporary Documentary,” examines how auto-ethnographic documentaries about migration portray the affective structures of migration experiences, as well as how they evoke and express ethical perspectives on migration. Before starting her PhD, Denić obtained a research MA degree in Media Studies at the UvA, and a BA degree in Film Studies and Philosophy at Amsterdam University College.
