I am a Post-doctoral researcher in the TCE-group from IBED.
My scientific work focusses on the effect of population structure on the ecology and evolution of populations and communities. In addition, I like to think about game theory and individual energetic tradeoffs in the context of a dynamic population.
In my PhD research in the TCE group, I studied the effect of plasticity and density dependence in individual growth curves on the dynamics of North Sea fish stocks. I for example calculated and compared growth curves of North Sea fish stocks but also modelled the effect of food dependant growth on the yield from fish stocks.
In my current project, I study the effects of cooperative breeding and kin selection on the structure and dynamics of families.
