I am an Assistant Professor at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR). Before I joined ASCoR, I held multiple research and teaching positions at the Vrije Universteit Amsterdam.
My research focuses on the characteristics of moral communication and its effects on public opinion formation across various communication contexts: satire/humor, journalism, and corporate communication. I analyze the content and structure of moralizing messages in the public domain concerning topical, contentious issues, and investigate how they influence citizens' social and political decision-making.
I am specialized in teaching methods courses (e.g., about experiments) and supervising bachelor and master theses.
