For Bachelor’s students at the UvA (not applicable for students at the Amsterdam University College - AUC).
The Intreeweek is the official introduction week for Dutch and international students doing a Bachelor’s programme at the UvA. Get to know the UvA, your fellow students and Amsterdam!
For all Bachelor’s, especially those who are the first in their family to study and students with a non-western migration background.
This unique, small-scale event, fully in Dutch, is part of Intreeweek. It offers a selection of practical workshops and fun activities to get to know other students. This will make you feel at home at the UvA even faster!
For Dutch and international (pre)Master's students who have not studied at the UvA before.
Join this introduction programme to Get in Touch with the university, the city of Amsterdam and with students from all UvA faculties, through fun and playful informative events at multiple locations! Your welcome includes elements related to language, thriving in an intercultural setting and sports and culture. Of course, there will be plenty of time to exchange ideas and laughter with those going on the same adventure as you.
For all UvA and AUAS exchange students (except for students enrolled for the ABS Executive Programme, AUC and OnCampus).
This introduction programme is organised twice a year by the Erasmus Student Network Amsterdam. It provides international students with an amazing start in Amsterdam by experiencing all the essential ins and outs the city and the university have to offer!
Once you have been admitted to the UvA, you'll be invited to register for one of the introduction programmes. The invitations will be sent in July.
Apart from these introduction programmes for all UvA students, your Faculty will organise a mandatory introduction day or days. It will be focused on practical study information, and is a great opportunity to meet your fellow students, and the staff and teachers of the Faculty.
You will receive an invitation for this particular Faculty introduction from your own study programme. In case you have questions about this Faculty introduction, please contact the education desk of your programme directly. To do so, visit the main page of your study programme by selecting from this overview. Subsequently, choose your area of interest, then your study programme, and go to the Contact tab there.
