All programmes of the Informatics Institute (UvA Academy) are subject to the following conditions of registration:

1. You are expected to have at least a bachelor's degree from an HBO or university. Additional admission requirements may still apply. For some programmes you do not need to have a bachelor’s degree from an HBO or university (which will be stated on the web page of the programme), however an academic level is still recommended. For questions about admission requirements, please mail to professionaleducation-ivi@uva.nl

2. The costs for the programmes differ per programme. After admission to the programme, you will receive an invoice from the financial administration for the full amount. Payment in instalments is not possible.

3. Please note: the most current dates and price can be found on the web page of the programme concerned.

4. After processing your registration you will receive a payment request for the amount to be paid. It is possible that circumstances arise that prevent you from participating in the programme. We apply the following rules for this:

  • You can cancel your registration for the programme free of charge up to one week before the start of the programme.
  • If you cancel within one week before the start of the programme, € 70,- administration costs will be charged.
  • Once the programme has started, it is no longer possible to reclaim the programme fee you paid.
  • Cancellation must always be done in writing (by sending an e-mail to: professionaleducation-ivi@uva.nl) before the start date of the programme. Oral cancellations must always be followed by written cancellations. In the absence of a written cancellation, the full programme fee will be charged after the programme has started.
  • In the absence of timely payment, the teacher may refuse you access to the programme. We then reserve the right to still demand payment of the amount due.

5. Your registration data will be stored at the University of Amsterdam and will not be freely provided to third parties. For educational purposes, the University of Amsterdam may use your data for lists of participants (in the private online environment of the programme) with name/function/company name, participant communication, group divisions, etc. The University of Amsterdam may also use your data for sending information and/or special offers. If you do not appreciate this you can indicate this. The University of Amsterdam will deactivate your data at your request.
