OH-CORE will be caried out in collaboration with DANS-KNAW and SURF as an extension of the infrastructure research project Oral History – Stories at the Museum around Artworks (OH-SMArt) and in support of the NWO-OC XS research Smart Care. The goal is to significantly improve sustainable archiving and secure dissemination of unique resources for the social sciences and humanities. Using interview material of the University of Amsterdam and existing infrastructural components, SURF and DANS-KNAW will develop a dynamic virtual collaborative oral history research environment for researchers authorized by the data owner. The new system can be generically applied and easily integrated into the national digital research infrastructure.

Open Science Fund

The Open Science Fund aims to support projects specifically designed to implement and stimulate open science practices. With this funding instrument, NWO takes a step forward towards changing the way academics are recognised and rewarded in the Netherlands. Projects related to Open Science are set to receive a financial stimulus of up to 50,000 euros.

Oral History – Stories at the Museum around Artworks (OH-SMArt) is a long term initiative to significantly improve the digital research chain around using Oral History and spoken narratives, with research into artworks and museums as a use case.
