On Friday November 29, a tripartite meeting took place between the Central Works Council, the UCLO (in which the trade unions are represented), the Executive Board, and representatives of the HR department of the UvA.

During this meeting, implementation of the lecturer policy at the UvA was discussed. As this topic is high on the COR's priority list, we had requested input from all faculty works councils in preparation for the meeting, with respect to progress of policy implementation, as well as potential complications at faculty level. This generated valuable input for the discussion in the tripartite consultation.

The conversation took place in good faith and in a good atmosphere. The COR strives for proper implementation of current policies and sees no reason to adjust the recently agreed policy line. The council is of the opinion that with good personnel management and well-considered planning, the agreed policy can also be implemented in the longer run.

All stakeholders endorse the importance of the teacher policy, and the COR will continue to monitor compliance with the policy documents. If employees encounter structural deviations from the intended policy, we invite them to contact the council via cor@uva.nl.
