Educational innovation and blended education
The UvA advances educational innovation in digital resources. The core objectives are aimed at enhancing campus education and supporting the student learning process.
In our Vision on Teaching and Learning and Strategic Plan, we aim to provide a rich and engaging dedicated learning environment that is innovative and challenging. The UvA is being presented with opportunities to make the most of the ongoing digitalisation of society and the education sector in particular. Digitalisation and the choice for blended learning can make education more appealing and richer. The vision Blended Learning, adopted by the Executive Board in January 2022, provides with guiding principles for this educational innovation and stated five objectives:
- Enhancing educational materials
- More valuable on-campus education
- Better support and structuring of the student learning process
- Intensification of education (small within large)
- Increasing the involvement of students in their degree programme
