The Graduate School of Psychology aims to attract the world’s brightest students to its international classrooms. Outstanding students from outside the European Economic Area can apply for an Amsterdam Merit Scholarship (AMS).The AMS is a scholarship that covers part of the tuition fee.
In addition to the general requirements, the Graduate School of Psychology requires unconditional acceptance in one of the Master’s tracks in our one-year Master's programme in Psychology or in the Research Master's Psychology.
Candidates are asked to apply for the Master’s programme and AMS simultaneously. When filling out your admission request in MyInfo, select ‘yes’ in response to the question ‘Will you be applying to one of the UvA scholarships?’. No further action is required.
The scholarship will be awarded to 1 student selected for a Master’s track in Psychology and 1 student selected for the Research Master's Psychology.
The AMS is targeted at exceptional talented and motivated students with a non-European Economic Area (EEA) nationality. Therefore the selection procedure will strongly focus on former academic performance.
Also sufficient English language skills are selection criteria, here the same criteria apply that are required for selection for the master’s tracks:
* English language test results may not be older than 2 years
Please note that AMS is only awarded to students without other financial assistance providing substantial coverage.
