Alumni

Graduating from the Faculty of Science (FNWI) does not have to mean the end of your involvement in what happens at the Faculty. Activities for alumni are organised at various times throughout the year, including lectures, networking meetings and further training. These are an opportunity to reconnect with former fellow students, make interesting new contacts and stay abreast of scientific developments in your field.

Stay involved
 

  • With the UvA
    As an UvA alumnus, you will be invited to the University Day every year and receive SPUI magazine (in Dutch only). If you would like to be involved more actively and benefit from exclusive discounts and services, you can join the Amsterdam University Association (AUV) for €35 a year. This membership entitles you to discounts at UvA facilities such as the sports centre and University Library and at cultural partners such as the Hermitage and Foam. You will also receive discounts on open lectures.

  • With your study programme or institute
    AUV alumni are united not only at University level, but also in programme or institute specific alumni associations. Each association has its own board that organises activities related to its respective field.

  • With the Faculty
    The Faculty of Science also has an umbrella alumni circle (website is in Dutch) open to alumni of all science programmes. Membership of this circle is free of charge for members of the AUV-programme circles.
