Since June 2019, the UvA has been a participant in EPICUR - the European Partnership for Innovative Campus Unifying Regions - from Erasmus + and the European Commission.
EPICUR aims to find new ways of intensifying collaboration among higher education institutions through the creation of a ‘European University’. The European Commission awarded the alliance a subsidy of 5 million euros for the first three years. Education in the field of the Liberal Arts and Sciences is the central focus, with one of the long-term goals being the creation of a European Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences.
The first three years form a pilot phase. There are six core missions, each of which is led by one of the partners. The UvA is leading the core mission involving the promotion of multilingualism and inclusive governance. Download the Factsheet (PDF, 2p.)
